People's Choice Award
Voting in our People's Choice Award is now closed. Find out which of the eight finalists you chose as your favourite, in the January issue of BBC Gardeners' World Magazine.
The prizes
All of our selected gardens win a professional photo shoot of their garden to appear in BBC Gardeners’ World Magazine. And, thanks to our sponsor Jordans Cereals, there are prizes worth £10,000 up for grabs!
The overall winner of the Judges' Choice will win a luxurious holiday for two people, courtesy of South Carolina Tourism, worth over ÂŁ8,000, including:
- Return flights from the UK to Charleston
- 7 nights in 4* hotels – 3 nights in the historic city of Charleston and 4 nights in the ocean resort of Myrtle Beach
- VIP gardening experiences and more
The winner can enjoy everything the two cities have to offer – from beautiful beaches, carriage rides, museums and glorious gardens. They can also learn about the history of the plantations that shaped the cities, and how it resonates today.
The Highly Commended garden and the winner of the People's Choice vote will each win ÂŁ1,000 worth of vouchers to spend at garden centres.

The deadline to enter the 2021 competition has now passed. The winners will be revealed in our weekly email newsletter (sign up to our newsletter here) and in the November issue of BBC Gardeners' World Magazine, on sale from 21 October, 2021.

Judges' Choice and People's Choice: Elizabeth and Malcolm Schofield, Moray, Scotland
In a first for the competition, the same garden wowed the judges and topped the People's Choice vote. This colourful garden, created on a wild, overgrown hillside, in a Scottish seaside town, is a worthy double winner. Elizabeth and Malcolm have created a plant-filled haven for all to admire. Starting with almost no gardening knowledge and with little cash to spare, they decided to create something special for their family and for the local community to admire.

Highly Commended: Michael and Margaret McNaught, Derby
This small garden has gone from a bare patch of ground to this classically inspired jewel in just one year. Michael and Margaret McNaught had been planning this garden for many years, and when finally able to start work they did all the work themselves and incorporated elements from grand gardens they'd visited.
